# 11 - # 15 of the 25 Motif Challenge

This is sample # 11 it is made in a WonderFil thread called Fruitti col. 14 it is a 12 weight thread for sewing and quilting.  It comes in 40 colour combinations and tats well.  The design is from one of my favourite designers Jan Stawasz from the Tatted Treasures book from one of the motifs in the table set.

# 12 a heart motif is another design by Jan Stawasz from the same book as sample 11.  This thread I bought in New Zealand a no. 12 perle thread for embroidery colour is Copper Kiss.

I realise I prefer to work with finer threads.

25 Motif Challenge # 6 - # 10

Here are my next 5 tatted items in the 25 Motif Challenge

The heart, flower and bottom left motif are designs from Jan Stawasz. The motif which is on the top left is from DS9 Designs for Sulky threads. Because these samples are very small I have put these 4 together as 1 item for the challenge.

Iris Niebach's Doily is taken from her book Tatted Doilies.  This was made in Lizbeth 40 thread and the colour was Spring Garden (124).

The next sample is made with two different threads.  The multi coloured thread I bought in New Zealand - it is a Chameleon embroidery thread made in South Africa the colour is Jacobean and it is a Perle no 12 thread (very nice to tat with and lovely colours). The other thread is DMC 3042 no 12 the colour is Antique Mauve. I bought thiw in New Zealand. The patternh is called Segnalibro Fiore E Foglia it is an Italian pattern by Edda Schneider and has a diagram which I followed.  Here is the link to the pattern.

Flowering Quatrain Bookmark designed by Joƫlle Paulson is made in Anchor Artistic in Cornflower Blue no. 20, I attached a butterfly pendant that I bought in
Hobbycraft.

Snowflake by Lene Bjorn found in her book called 24 Snowflakes in Tatting.  This particular snowflake is called the Second Day of December.  I made it in Altin Basak 338 which is a bright pink thread.

Hello Again - 25 Motif Challenge # 3, 4 and 5

I have been away from my blog for some time now.  A lot has happened since my last post.  We went to New Zealand to visit our son last Christmas, and we had a great time as usual. I did a lot of tatting whilst I was there, I tried some new threads as well.

When we returned we had a lot of problems, flooding from the roof, cars that wouldn't start, the telephones decided not to work, the freezer packed up.  To top it all we both caught a nasty virus and were poorly for a few weeks.  I sneezed and put my back and shoulder out and unable to even knit, crochet or do any tatting for a few more weeks.  All is better now.

Our youngest son got married in August, I made their cake and hopefully will post a picture of it soon.

Below is my 3rd sample for the 25 motif challenge, this bookmark is made in  J P Coats Mercer Crochet no 50 in beige. This thread was given to me by Emily, it was in her late grandmas sewing box.

I forgot to mention that my PC decided to play up and I have not been able to use it.  The problem has now been fixed (I hope) so can catch up posting the sampes.  I hope to spread them out a bit so as not to bore you.

The next sample a cross motif is by Mary Konior from her book a Pattern Book of Tatting. The cross is called Peter and Paul and I made it in Anchor Paisley No 18 colour 609

My 5th sample is a heart motif it is from the Learn to Tat book by Janette Baker. I made this heart in cream Anchor Clark and Co Paisley on a small skein no. 18.
