Something Different

Just finished a crochet project for a friend's daughter. It was an old pattern by Twillies of Stamford. The original was made in Lyscordet or Lysbet thread. I made it in in Coats, Puppets Eldorado in white as I could no longer get the original threads. It took me several weeks to make. Hope you like it.

 

Day 11

The Final Day of TIAS

Sadly we have reached the end of the line. The Piccadilly Express has finished its journey. I can say it was a very enjoyable trip with new techniques being learnt along the way. Taking part in this TIAS (my first - hopefully not my last) was very exciting and enjoyable. My thanks to Sherry for making this possible.

Day 10

It's a mystery, apart from the obvious (a train).  Patience is a virtue, I think I will just wait and see.  Enjoying the tatting - learning new techniques each time.  Thanks Sherry, thank you all for sharing your lovely pictures. Here is my day 10 sample.

Day 9 - TIAS

Hi, I'm back again with the latest update on the TIAS.  I agreed that it looked like a train which has been guessed a couple of times.  I passed the table where my sample was laid out and I saw it from another angle. Could it be a baby crib with rockers, the onion rings are toys next to a rattle?

Day 8

Here is day 8 and my first floating and onion rings. Feel like I am now in the deep end, just keeping my head up.  Have no idea as to what we are making other than those recently being guessed.

Day 7

It's a watchamacallit, you know a thingamajig. As you can imagine, I have no idea.

Day 6 - TIAS

Just finished my day 6 tatting.  How exciting - every day the pattern evolves, different shapes can be seen. Could we be making a sleigh?  Loving all the ideas that have been guessed so far and I am enjoying the journey.

Day 5

Here is my latest sample.  I have had several ideas as to what we are making, but have changed my mind as many times. My latest guess is an ostrich, who knows?

Here is my day 4. Still not sure of what it will turn out to be, but I am enjoying taking part.

DAY 3

The next instalment on the Tat it and see. As I like tatted hearts I am guessing its the centre of a lovely lacy tatted heart. I will have to wait and see like everyone else.

TIAS - Day 1 and 2

This is my first TIAS (thank you Sherry) and my first time blogging. I started tatting earlier this year and am totally hooked. The thread used for this tat along is Lizbeth #154 Wildflower Garden.
